Favorite Lunch place #1 – holybelly

Parisians love to have lunch. It is one of the most important moments in the day and they make sure they have time to enjoy their lunch.  And it’s said that in France the best business deals are made during lunch.

So no wonder there are many nice and great places to find in Paris that offers all kinds of lunch. And don’t worry when you are in Paris and you don’t know where to eat, all places are fine. But just to help you out a little bit I will share my favorite places with you.

My first place is holybelly. A modern lunch room close to metro Jacques Bonsergent and Canal St Martin. They don’t do reservations, which mean you have to wait a little bit. But it is worth it. The two young female chefs who run the place try to keep it interesting for you to keep visiting by changing their menu every month. As they say themselves, their concept is simple: good food, good coffee and good service. And I have to say, they did well on all three points.

Winner for me was their pancakes with fruits, simple but the combination of flavors was heaven for the taste buds! Their Plat du Jour (meal of the day) looked impressive with season vegetables, mackerel and sweet potato. Their menu is not big, but diverse enough to make sure that there is something delicious to eat for everyone.
