Adidas started a great project with 5 die-hard collectors who are very knowledgeable about the three stripes brand. At the Global HQ in Germany they were given the opportunity to learn more about the techniques and fabrics that are used to make the sneakers. And of course Adidas gave them the chance to design their own.
The five chosen ones are: Julia Schoierer of Berlin, she was influenced by her love of ’80s hip-hop culture and chose the Rivalry Hi; Harlem-based DJ Operator Emz chose to rework the Pro Model 80s; Robert Brooks of London chose the ZX550; Tokyo’s Mr Magara went all out for his version of the Country; and Ralf Tiittanen of Turku, Finland, chose to reinterpret the Bahamas silhouette.
