Converse gets dirty this Fall

The Fall/Winter collection is not due to be released in the stores until the 1st of July. Being it a month away, I thought it is time to give you a preview.

In a previous article I already mentioned the pop-up store in Paris and the great global campaign: ‘Get Dirty’. For me, they really hit the core. Since high school I have had the basic collection of Chuck Taylor All Stars in my wardrobe. I love wearing them during the day, at work, parties, and they are a must for concerts. Why? They suit with whatever you are wearing, they are comfortable and they are a guarantee for all night long dancing! Yes, I’m a Converse fan/Chucks fan…

Let’s talk about the collection. Nothing much surprising to tell you than they are continuing with their success of the latest campaign. The Chuck Taylor All Stars scream Rock & Roll, U.S.A./Britain, Funkyness and ‘I’m part of the band’. We see studs, zippers hardware, spikes, animal prints, frayed edges and leather with some bright colors to finish it off. The hot, trendy item in the new collection would be the platform shoe with studs and zipper. As I stated before, I love dancing all night long, so I will not be wearing them. But I can not deny that the platforms are back and a sure thing in street style fashion.

Another favorites of mine are the Pro Leathers, available in green, burgundy and blue suede. And the CONS Skateboarding shoes. For the skateboarding line Converse updated the technology by using memory foam in the shoes for a more custom feel, abrasion resistant suede, cup sole technology, Nike Lunarlon sock liner, and skateboarding traction rubber. In shades of blue, grey, red, gold and black.

Before I turn into a sneaker geek with all this detailed information I will only add that there are collabs again with John Varvatos,  ♥ Marimekko, Deus Ex Machina and First String. And Jack Purcell will introduce a women’s only shoe, the Jane Salt Washed.

That’s all folks. Enjoy the pictures. And rock those Chucks!
